Rilke’s Book of Hours
Love Poems to God
Translated by Anita Barrows & Joanna Macy

When there are no words to describe the indescribable, there is Rilke.

The Light Inside the Dark
Zen, Soul, and the Spiritual Life
by John Tarrant

A gorgeous, lush book about the inner life. It’s never far from my bedside table.

A Discovery of Witches
by Deborah Harkness

I am not a vampire lover. Or, wasn’t—until now. This is a rollicking, history-rich read, and I wish Harkness would right the next installment NOW.

All My Friends Are Dead
by Avery Monsen & Jory Jory

I saw this at the airport today, and although I didn’t have enough time with the book, it made me laugh out loud. I figure that counts for a lot.
