<img src="" align=right>A customer approached me asking about these great fungus mugs we'd been carrying at the store. I was helping him look around for it and said perhaps it was in our backstock. He says, "If you'll allow it, there's not mushroom out here." I allowed it (of course), and replied, "You're a <i>fungi</i>!"<br clear=all>

What We Talk About When We Talk About Anne Frank by Nathan Englander

Following the national bestselling collection of stories For the Relief of Unbearable Urges, award-winning author Nathan Englander presents a new compilation of Judaic-inspired stories that are memorable and bold. Balancing between the locked up and locked in, Englander's short stories spill wisdom in well-incremented doses while leaving many things unsaid. This irresolution and ambiguity becomes as important as what is said between the characters, and a world of parallels circles the characters and the readers, making this a very thought-provoking collection.

High Line by Joshua David & Robert Hammond

When I first started flipping through this book I seriously began to cry. It's a park in the sky! My inner-kid's dream comes true. This is the most amazing innovative, creative and inspirational urban reclamation projects in memory. This model for an ecologically sound public space has a great backstory, too, filled with impossible odds and unlikely heroes.

New Treehouses of the World by Pete Nelson

This exciting book provokes oohs and aahs galore! Nelson reveals architectural wonders not only in the United States where treehouses are proliferating rapidly, but also in the forests of Brazil, Bali, Costa Rica, and Japan, among others. Be inspired by the Free Spirit Spheres in Canada (pg 26), or learn about the Secret Garden Treehouse in Seattle.

Houses DesignSource from Around the World

This compact book is filled cover-to-cover with photographs of houses that make a myriad of choice design solutions that may inspire you to create or enhance your daily environment. It happily includes layouts, architectural details, and the factors that impact the homes such as location, climate and space. My favorites are the waterside homes beginning on page 78.
